I hold a Post-Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Masters degree in Applied Psychology, both received from Seton Hall University in 2005. My undergraduate degree is from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and is in the field of business.
I have four years experience working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings including a high school, a traditional counseling center and a correctional facility, before moving on to private practice most recently.
I am an active member of the following organizations:
I am under the supervision of Gloria L. Martin, MA, LPC, LMFT in Dallas as I have not yet completed my hours for full licensure here in the state of Texas. She can be reached at 214-890-4047.
I relocated here from New Jersey in December, 2006.
I have been married for 21 years.
I have two daughters, aged 14 and 17.
I have been counseling others for most of my teenage and adult life in many different ways. As a teenager, I was involved in my church youth program as a facilitator and motivational speaker for peer retreats. When I had children I began to help organize parent/child groups and roundtable discussions in my community to help parents get answers to many of the same questions that I had. After I had been married for several years, my husband and I volunteered, and still do, as marriage preparatory counselor couples to help those just entering that wonderful journey. When my family lived in Indiana I decided it was about time I returned to college to learn how to help people in a more organized and professional manner. Three states later and with four years of experience in various venues, I am happy to say that I am eager and ready to help those who seek my help through my office in Southlake.
